Technet Newsgroup problem part 2

I just got an update on my previous post, but once again, cannot view it
since the newsgroup won't update on my computer. Please e-mail the response
to (e-mail address removed) so that I can figure out the problem. Thank you for
your post but once again, I can't figure out how to fix it if I can't see the
solution on the newsgroup.

try a newsreader like described here:

then subscribe to your newsgroup like here:


in regards to the dysfunctional
web server, well everyone not using
a newsreader are in the same
boat as yourself. just have to
wait for it to get back on line and
caught up.

in the interim you should have
a backup method to access your
tech newz

It's likely MS has moved on to Vista. The XP 'Expert Zone" is probably over.

Old Andrew did some great stuff, he just wanted to make sure he looked good
doing it.

I haven't tried the Vista newsgroups web interface. Have you?

Well, so much for my theory, the Vista groups are not open to me either.

It's certainly strange that the 'reply' feature is still functioning in the
web interface, but the posts only then show in the non-web newsreaders.

I swear db, you're the only guy here who posts without any BS attached. It's
not at I agree with those sites, it's that you tell it like you see it. A
rare commodity these days. I wish I could believe this 'glitch' was not a
