Is there a number where you can speak to someone in the US for tech support
for Compaq/HP? The language barrier can be a real problem at times, not to
mention that when you ask to speak to a supervisor the cs rep tells you that
you don't need to.

Unfortunately your first line of tech support is based upon the serial
number of your computer. There's no way around this, that I know of.
Always pays to buy higher level of warranty to avoid this, especially in a
corporate world.

I found the "Live Chat" on the HP site a lot more helpful than the phone
support via Mombay, India. When my new printer did not function in
spreadsheet, I was told by India, that after paying with a credit card the
problem would be resolved, which I declined.
I got the problem fixed with a technician on Live Chat in about 15 minutes.

This isn't the first post of yours to touch on questions I've had.
Your propensity for getting luckycould hardly be accidental, IMHO.
Causes one to surmise that, far from being "born old", you may just be
temporarily off-track in Dizzyworld.
