Teacher/Student Versions

Hi...

I'd like to create a student version and a teacher version of a document I'm
currently writing. I'll give the students their version and it will have
lots of info missing. They can work on these themselves, filling in lots of
the blanks in class. But the teacher version will have all info included. I
don't want to create two separate documents as it would be far too cumbersome
to keep the common parts identical.

What I'd like to do is have a master with all the info on it, and then go
through and put in the blanks where appropriate, but be able to toggle
between the two versions.

Does anyone know of a way to do this?

Thanks in advance! :)

Jeff

Create a special style (paragraph or character as appropriate) for the
portions that will be included in just the teacher version. When you need to
print the student version, modify this style to have Font Color: White. To
get back to the teacher version, change the font color back to Automatic.

Another solution is to define a style and define it as hidden text. When you
print the file, you select the 'print hidden text' checkbox and you get the
instructor version. Uncheck the box and you get the student version.

The difference between Hidden text and Font Color: White is that the latter
takes up space and the former does not. If the instructor wants to leave
space for the students to write in answers, then have the answers filled in
on the instructor version, the white text makes more sense.
