Hi Everyone,

My computer was running very slow and I discovered tcpplay.exe hogging the
processor while I had internet explorer open. After investigating, I
discovered I don't need this program so proceeded to delete it, the same way
I deleted another sound-related program. I found the exe file in
c:\windows\security\database. After deleting it, I deleted the related
prefetch file and the related folder in regedit.

After restarting, tcpplay.exe is still running, and hogging the processor
just like before. I can't find another exe file on the hard drive, and it
keeps reappearing in the prefetch also.

How is it possible for a file called "tcpplay.exe" to run without an exe
file? Does anyone know how to get rid of this obnoxious program?

Also at the same time, lsass.exe is acting up, and takes up a lot of the
processor. My system is next to frozen when I'm running internet explorer.

These problems didn't exist before a few days ago.

Any ideas?

Many thanks for your time and help!!

You need a good anti-virus program.
