TCP Stack Corrupt

I cannot access the internet via a wireless card on my
notebook. It works fine when connected via a LAN. I
show a network connection is open, and I can ping an IP
address but I cannot ping a website name. The Linksys
support said my TCP/IP Stack has been corrupted and needs
to be rebuilt. Is this correct and how do I do it?
Thanks,
JR

I don't think that the TCP/IP stack has been corrupted, since the LAN
connection works and you can ping an IP address. However, it can't
hurt to try this:

Inability to ping a website name usually indicates a problem with the
DNS server setting.
