I have an ad-hoc network set up between two XP machines.
WZC is disabled, firewalls are off, encryption is
disabled, SSIDs and all the network wizard stuff has been
set up. Both machines have had their TCP/IP set up
manually.
Last night everything was working "perfectly". I switched
both machines off last night, and when I switched them on
again this morning, no network!!! The second machine's
TCP/IP is now "Set by DCHP" and the TCP/IP settings have
been changed!
How has this happened, and what do I do to prevent it
happening again?
