TCP/IP printing to QMS MagiColor 2

Moving a QMS MagiColor 2 printer from an NT4/SP6a server to a Windows
2000/SP4 server. NT4 requires a QMS proprietary ("Crown") print monitor,
which is installed, and connectivity works fine.

Per QMS KB, I need to install the current version of the Crown print monitor
on W2K. Did that, and print jobs spool a few bytes, then the printer hangs,
requiring a cold reset.

I also tried creating a TCP/IP port using Win2K's pre-configured settings
for printing to QMS printers. Same result.

Per QMS support, I created a TCP/IP port and set protocol to RAW and port
number to 35. Same result.

Each time, the W2K test page spools 72 bytes of 27.5K to the printer, the
printer hangs, and the print job times out.

Anybody know how to make this work?
