taskmgr.exe - Application Error

with Windows XP home - when I do a ctl alt del I get
a "taskgr.exe - application error" window with the
text, "The application failed to initialize properly
(0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application."

Please help and Happy Holidays
 
Hi Tony,

This symptom is caused by Viruses. It is advisable to run a full system scan. Be sure you update the anti-virus software definitions.

[ The following viruses terminate any of the following processes: REGEDIT.EXE and TASKMGR.EXE]
