Taskmanager problems

Within the last week, when I hit ctrl alt delete the task
manager comes up, but not like it always has.
There is no longer any tabs to move between the tasks,
the performance, etc., and there is no longer anything in
the way of "File" "Edit" "Options" , etc.
I don't know if I inadvertantly typed something that
caused this while I had the taskmanager open, but it is
really really annoying when all I see is the window with
the tasks, and no options whatsoever.
How do I fix this?

JAMES, rt. click an open part of taskbar and pullup
taskmgr.

p.s. now i feel like an idiot cuz i read the dbl click
thing on a board and was clickying in the white area
instead of the border area /sigh
