Taskmanager is missing the tabs

All of a sudden, when I bring up the taskmanager, there is only the one tab.
Either "procceses", "applications", or "preformance". I can toggle between the
3 w/ control/tab keys, but there are no tabs, only the information w/ one of
the three windows. The keyboard shortcuts that activate the drop down menus,
ie; file, view, etc don't work either. Everything I am use to seeing above the
information area, ie; the 3 tabs, the 5 drop down menus & the minimize,
maximize, & close buttons, are gone !
