Tasklist gone from outlook calendar screen

I've had a search around for this issue but haven't been able to find a
solution yet. One of my work mates has lost the tasklist on the calendar
screen in outlook. He was trying to move the tasklist panel from the right
side of the screen to the left (into the space above the mail, contacts,
calendar, tasks buttons) so he would have room on the screen to view both our
shared calendar and his personal calendar side by side.
The result of this was part of the tasklist (the part which lists the
individual tasks) has disappeared and we can't get it back.
He is now quite frustrated with it as he's quite used to using this function.

Sorry if this is obvious ... I assume he has ticked TaskPad back on via the
View menu and also selected his required tasks to be viewed via the
TaskPadView also via the View menu?

that's right - View | taskPad and tick it to turn it on.

Also, it may be squashed so go to the right most edge of the screen and when
the cursor changes to an arrow head, drag to the left.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!

aaah ok - now I think I've got it ... right-click on the grey header area of
the tasklist - customise current view - fields - scroll down the list to
subject - click on add - move it up or down the list to locate in correct
order, if requited - ok - ok - you should then see description (which is
actually the subject).

Hope that helps!

It sounds like you have

a) squashed the TaskPad a lot
b) removed fields from it

If it's now wide enought to see it properly (eg 2 months of Date Navigator
above it) then right click the grey column header of the TaskPad and Select
the Filed Chooser. Drag the field you want in the TaskPad table in line
with the existing fields.
