taskbar

my taskbar suddenly quit letting me choose which icons to hide and which ones
i want to show all the time, when i try to click on the options to change
them it does nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!! can anyone please help, im useing a dell
1100 with windows xp service pack 2

Perhaps clearing the past icons in the customize noticiations dialog may
help.
