taskbar - two rows

Somehow I got my taskbar to be twice as high as normal.
I can get the "resize" arrow to appear and change the
height to more than twice the size or to disappear
entirely but I cannot get back to the "one row"
appearance.

Grab the lower-most Toolbar divider (looks like this | or
could be some dots) and drag it up and to the left.
