Hi,

my taskbar is auto-hidden, and when it comes up, it's doing a slide-in
animation, which is very annoying.
How can I make my taskbar pop-up immediately?

I've seen there's some tip to disable viewing the contents of moving
windows, but that's even more annoying.

Go to System Properties > Visual Effects and remove the tick from 'Fade
or slide menus into view'.
