Taskbar retention

This my third try. I don't understand computer speak from web sites you
refered earlier. I need a walk through on how to make my taskbar retain web
sites visited. After I minimize, the site goes to the bar. When I Google
the next site, the old one goes away. I need to be able to go
back and forth.
Thanks

You really should take this to an IE group where the regulars have all
the answers.

_Set IE to open a different window for each page._

Open Internet Options. Click the Advanced tab. Deselect "Reuse windows
for launching shortcuts".

(Turn off tabbed browsing if you have it. I can't tell you how as I've
never fooled with it.)

_Turn off "Group similar taskbar buttons"._

Right-click the Start button, click Properties, click Taskbar tab.
Deselect "Group similar taskbar buttons". Click OK to close the
properties box.

On almost any link, you can right-click it and choose "open in new
window".
