Taskbar problrm

hi. i have an anoying problem with taskbar. i have a laptop with a widescreen monitor and i've put my taskbar on the left side of the screen. taskbar iz wider than default and it's locked (naturaly). my problem is that every time i restar (or shutdown) my computer taskbar resizes. to be more accurate it gets tighter every time i restart it...this hapens untill it gets to the default size (the size that it has when it's on the bottom of the screen).

so...i would be gratefull if anyone could help.
