Starting the associated program should get you that item back. If this
doesn't work: "How to Clear Past Items from the Notification Area" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283084/en-us
Right click on Start button, select Properties, Taskbar, Customise,
scroll down to Past Items, select required item and scroll bar under
Behaviour offers option. Make selection.
