Ever since I installed Service Pack 2 my taskbar icons and text on web pages
have been shrunk. How do I get them back to their former size?

Reset your screen resolution to what it was prior to the update and update
your graphics card drivers.

I can live with the small task bar icons but the text on web pages and my email is so small it is very difficult to read. I have tried everything people have suggested but still no luck.

Make sure you have the latest video card drivers
Press the Start button
Click Run
Type "control desktop" without the quotes
Hit enter
Click on the settings tab
Under screen resolution set it down one notch and try that - try other
settings until it was the way you had it

That didn't do what I want done. I should have mentioned that I am using Netscape 7.2. My main complaint is with the size of the text on web pages and my emails. For instance, the box I am typing this in right now is practically unreadable.

Hmm... Okay? That didn't do what you wanted? That didn't increase the size
of your taskbar and then make everything else at that resolution? The
taskbar is the thing with the start button, the clock, and the open programs
listed. I don't have your version of Netscape, I use 8.0 when I use it at
all, and IIRC to change the view in Netscape's older versions you just
opened it, had it as the active screen, pressed CTRL and hit the + button at
the same time. If that doesn't work then look under the View options in
Netscape and it should be listed in there.
