Taskbar Icon occassionally not displayed after boot. XP home SP2

I have noticed that my Creative Soundblaster taskbar icon intermittently
will not appear after boot. I saw somewhere else that if I would log off and
back on without shutting down, it would appear and sure enough it does. Is
the a fix for this issue in XP? I read they were aware of a problem but no
fix. I thought the experts here would know for certain.

Disregard my post. I just hid the icon
