I think I've found a small bug in Vista, but not sure how to report it. I
recently disabled the "Microsoft Transient Multi-Monitor Manager" (TMM) by
going into the Task Scheduler under "MobilePC" options and checking
"disable". The reason I did this was to keep my notebook computer from
checking for multiple monitors which causes a flicker at startup. After
doing this I found that the taskbar would simply disappear after waking from
a sleep state. The toolbar is not minimized because you can still see the
start button. Weird.
After going back and enabling TMM then the behavior goes away. My hardware
is a Sony Vaio VGN-N365E notebook with integrated Mobile Intel 945GM Express
graphics chipset. Anybody else having problems with a disappearing taskbar?
