Taskbar Colour

Does anybody know how to change the taskbar colour to something other
than silver, blue or olive green?

I would like it to be orange!

You can't do this natively in Windows using the XP theme. You can change
colors only if you use Windows Classic. A more aesthetically pleasing
alternative might be to use a third-party theming application like the
one from Stardock. Go to www.wincustomize.com for more information.

Do you (or does anyone else) know of an easier way of doing this,
rather than installing a program, and then going through loads of skins
for the one I like? I'd rather not change anything apart from the
colour you see.

Accept what you've been told, and stop your whining.

Switch to Classic theme and you can have GRAY.

Ignore "Uncle Grumpy". I don't know why he posts here unless it is
because he has a need to be ugly to be people.

I'm afraid that this is a limitation of the XP graphical user interface.
I don't know why MS didn't offer more skins/options because people do
love to personalize their working environment. Aside from using the
Windows Classic, there isn't any other way except with third-party
software.

Actually, using Windows Classic isn't a bad idea. I always turn off all
the eye candy on my machines. Even fast computers benefit from this.
