Taskbar color

I use the Windows XP theme but with a light tan desktop color. But the
Taskbar is a royal blue. How can I make the Taskbar the same light tan as
the desktop?
Thanks, CMA

I "think" if you right click on your desktop, choose properties, appearance,
advanced, you can play around with setting different colors for things. I
like the blue so, I've never messed with it. Give that a try. Hope it helps.

If you are using "Windows XP Theme" then the default available colors are
"Blue, Olive Green and Silver". You can change or customize any of them. You
can use third party softwares like "Windows Blind" or "Style XP" to customize
Window look. If you are using "Windows Classic Theme" then their are more
custom settings available in "Appearance" tab of "Display Properties".

Hope this information helps you, let us know!

Thanks, Raj, I haven't found a way to change the color of the taskbar to the
same light tan I have for the desktop. Taskbar is not one of the Items that
can be changed on the "Appearance/Advanced" menu.

Ok! I found a little but effective solution to change the taskbar color. But
it will also change the other object colors as well.

1. First of all, use the Classic Windows Theme.
2. Click the Appearance tab and click Advanced.
3. In Item box choose "3D Objects".
4. From Color 1: change the color as desire.

Hope this information helps you, let us know!

if you use styles, then you had to get a program to modify its parts like
Style builder.

Raj:
Your solution was excellent and solved the problem Good work!.
I don't know what the other "3-D objects are" and don't care at this point,
but obviously the Taskbar is one of them, so your solution worked.
