Taskbar buttons disappeared

Since this morning the taskbar only contains the quick
launch items on the left and the notification area on the
right(to the left of the clock)
BUT, no more buttons in the middle of the taskbar for
running programs or documents.
I explored task bar toolbars, Start menu properties,
nothing to correct this.

I run XP Pro SP1 wity all the fixes and strangely enough
for other users I set up on my PC all works fine.

Any ideas? Thanks

Save Settings on Exit (Line 54)

Save the .REG File to a hard disk.
Double click the .REG File; answer yes to the "Registry Editor" prompt.
(To view a REG file in Notepad, right click on the file, then select Edit.)
