taskbar appearance

my taskbar is silver not green as shown in all the books. How do I change it?

Right click on the desktop
click properties
click on the appearance tab
select Default (blue) in the color scheme dropdown
click apply
click ok

I have this same problem my start menu, taskbar and internet toolbar all seem
to be of older versions but I have XP professional, I tried what you said but
I don't have default blue in my menu? Could you help it is driving me mad!
