Task vs Event

What difference is there between the task vs event on
items that are reoccuring? I would like a cleaner, easier
read for myself.

An event is a full day (or multi day) appointment in the Calendar folder. It has a definite start and end time.

A task is an item in the Tasks folder. Start date and due date are optional.
