Task Views keep changing

I must really be doing something terribly wrong. I've tried to do this over
and over to no avail.

It seems that when I try to customize a view, it customizes all views to the
same thing. So, if I change one--they all change -- every time.

Also, can I create and name my own views? Great tool...if I can ever get it
to work correctly!!!!!

Thanks!

You can define your own views in View-> Current View-> Define Views...

If you make changes to a view here, they will apply to all folders which are
in that view.

To modify a view on a single folder use View-> Current View-> Customize
Current View...

Awesome, great and I understand. But, I did find out where my knowledge is
lacking. I was able to make all the changes you mention...however...when I
am in calendar view that show my task pad...that is the one that seems not to
work correctly. How can I get those views to act exactly as the ones in the
task view screen. Hope this makes sense.

Aha, that is not the Task folder ;-) TaskPad has its own views;
In Calendar; View-> TaskPad View

You can also customize the view by right clicking on the TaskPad header and
choose Customize Current View...

Darn....darn...darn! I thought we were on to something. But that is the one
that is making the changes universally. I change one view...it changes it
for every view in TaskPad view. And...in the manner you suggest. So, not
I'm stuck again. Probably something very obvious...but so obvious I can't
seem to find it. Any more thoughts?

Could you post exact steps to reproduce?

Including what you are trying to achieve, what your expected results are and
which results are not wanted? Be as precise as possible so I can reproduce
it here.
