Task update list

I no longer receive notification when a task has been accepted or completed.
All of the appropriate boxes are checked but I noticed my name no longer
appears in the Update List on the Details tab (ditto for all of my
workmates). It is grayed out and does not allow me to make an entry. How do
I re-populate this field?

The words "no longer" infer a lot but we know not what. So please explain
the whole story and provide at least the basic details of version of
Outlook, email service used (POP, Exchange etc) and what happened. Things
don't just change in Outlook for no reason.

What have you tried so far? For example have you spoken to the system
administrators to find out what they did on the day it stopped working?

Outlook version - 2003
Incoming mail - POP3
Outgoing mail - SMTP

We switched email servers about two weeks ago at which point in time our
Tasks stopped working properly. In the past once a task was assigned and
accepted the sender would get an email documenting the acceptance. When the
task was completed they would get another email noting the completion. It is
no longer working this way. There is no update to the sender for acceptance
or completion.

I spoke with our system administrator and he said he didn't have to do
anything to make the switch to the new server I have also verified the box
is checked that asks for an updated copy of this task to be kept on the task
list.

What I have noticed on the Details tab of the task is there are no names in
the Update List and it is grayed out so I can't make any additions. I
presume this is why nobody is getting updates.

Any assistance you can give would be most appreciated, Cheryl

Boy, you work as late as I do! Thanks for your assistance. I will
definitely have my IT person take a look at that page.

All the best,
Cheryl

It wasn't late here - why are you so wherever-you-live centric?

I am in Canberra, Australia. It was 5:52pm when I posted.
