I have McAfee virus protection on my computer and it
won't let me schedule a scan. McAfee informed me that I
must contact Microsoft for some kind of patch, but I have
no clue where to find this. Does anyone know about
this? Thanks.

Have you changed the "computer name"?
I was having the same trouble when I changed my computer name.
