Task scheduler still require a password to run?

tom

I have configured XP professional to start up without
needing a password for myself, the administrator.
However, Task scheduler still requires a password to run.
Does anyone have an idea , how to run task scheduler to
not require a password to run? As far as i could see on
this web site , i would have to have a password to run
task scheduler. Since i reboot my computer , unatended
each night, i am not there to imput a password, unless
there is a work around for this part.
thanks

1 - You should not be using the hidden administrator account for daily use.
Create a user for yourself and give it admin rights.
2 - Auto-logon with a password:
Start, run, type in: control userpasswords2, hit enter.

Uncheck: users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

Xp will then ask you to enter the user and password you want to auto-logon
to.

At reboots or startup xp will auto-log you on.
Or
Download and install tweakui for xp and use its auto-logon feature.

Hi Tom,

Running Scheduled Tasks without a password:

For Pro: Start/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Local Security
Policy/Local Policies/Security options. In the right hand pane (third down).

Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only.
This is enabled by default, disable it.

For Home: Run Scheduled Task without a Password (Line 68)
