Is it possible to reinstall the Windows Task Scheduler
for Windows XP? When I try to add a new task, the Task
Scheduler Wizard opens, but it freezes when I hit Next.
I've searched the world over for an answer, but so far
I've not found it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Sure, set folder options/view tab to see hidden and operating system files.

Open Windows Explorer to C:\WIndows\Inf, locate mstask.inf, right-click it,
choose install. You may be prompted for your WinXP CD or I386 folder, and
possibly for the ServicePackFiles folder (usually located under C:\Windows).

Thanks, Nutcase.
Though it didn't solve the problem I'm having with a
frozen Task Scheduler Wizard, I appreciate the help.
