Task Scheduler Error

D

Dave

When creating or editing a Scheduled Task I'm getting the following error:

General Page Initialization Error:
The specific error is:
0x80041311: Corruption was detected in the Task Scheduler security
database; the database has been reset.

I've searched Google and Microsoft for that 0x8... number and with different
variations of the text, but can't find a cause or repair for this issue.

Can anyone provide suggestions or point me in a direction of assistance?

Thanks,

Dave

Try deleting any existing scheduled tasks. There is probably corruption
associated with one or more tasks.

Thank you. I deleted all scheduled tasks. It allowed me to create the
task, but after clicking the last OK button I was provided with a message
stating the task was created, but may not run properly because the
permissions could not be set. Then it provided me with the same 0x...
message as previously posted.

Anyone? I'm having the same issue.

Event ID: 7023. The Task Scheduler service terminated with the
following error:
Corruption was detected in the Task Scheduler security database; the
database has been reset.

In the Scheduler log the error code 0x80041311 shows up as well.

This problem started as soon as I installed SP4 for win2K.

Thanx.

Alex.
