When ever I try to setup a task or edit a task I get script errors. All
tasks don't run according to log. How do I reinstall files for schedule
without a complete reinstall of Windows XP Pro. Is there a check file
program in Windows XP pro that will check files to make sure none are
missing or damaged?

Start/run and enter sfc /scannow have your win cd ready.
Please post back any error messages verbatim as it could be a known fix for
your error

Not sure what happened, did as you requested, Windows file protection
started the blue bar started to cross the dialog box it asked for
Windows CD. I placed the CD in it then continued to run it stopped a few
times asking to insert the CD again. It continued till the end of blue
bar then nothing happened. Is that it? It didn't say it found anything
wrong, or did it fix it by itself?
