Task Reminders poping up 8 weeks before they are due to pop up

I have a user who shares his tasks with his secretary. When she enters the
task in and sets the reminder for say December 18, 2006, he ends up getting
the reminder popping up "today" with his other reminders. I checked the task
and yes it is set to remind on December 18.

Is there something else I should be looking at? Thanks!!

Yes, I checked that.

I've been searching all day for an answer. Its probably going to be really
obvious once the answer is found.
