Task Pane

I am running Windows XP and Microsoft Word 2002. When I open Microsoft Word,
the tack pane does not show. I go to View>Toolbars and check Task Pane. When
I close Word and open it again, there is no task pane.

How can I solve this problem?

Also try Tools|Options|View, and make sure the 'startup task pane' box is
checked. Tom S
