In task manager -> process I have iexplore.exe even though I haven't started
internet explorer. It reapears almost instantly when I kill the process
iexplore.exe.
My internet is running very slow eventhough I have 1.5Mbit Broadband
connection

In desipryde had this to say:

My reply is at the bottom of your sent message:

Are you sure it's an i and not an l?

Thanks Galen,

It is "iexplore.exe" not "Iexplore.exe". Furher what I found that this is
happening once I start internet explorer after starting the computer. There
is a process called "Grey Mode.exe" that appears on Task Manager -> process.
I couldn't find Grey Mode.exe on my computer.

As Galen told you, it is probable that you have malware on your
computer. Examine the information at the link he gave you, and/or go
through the steps listed here:

Thanks Guys,

The procedure for removing malware was quite helpful. I would like to add
for information to others - a file "grey mode.exe" crept into the computer
and got stored in a funny named directory under user/application data
directory. This file was starting fake iexplore.exe in task. If you kill the
task iexplore.exe, it will reappear and grey mode.exe will appear on task
list and disappear. Afterwords iexplore.exe will stay in task list. This file
"grey mode.exe" only appear in the search list at Windows/Prefeth directory.
You can find it only in safe mode. I believe this was causing all pop up
messages about Winfixer and Casinos etc.

Thanks again,
