Frustrated User

I have windows XP, for the last few days i have been
unable to access windows task manager, the window pops up
and disappears straight away. Any ideas how i get it to
stay there? Can someone please help me b4 i smash my PC
to pieces!?

Start your own thread, don't tag on to others. The original poster is less likely to get an answer (and it seems noone know it one).

You have a virus which is why TM starts, the virus detects it in memory, and shuts it down.
For most of the last couple of years only two viruses did this (klez and yaha) but it's become a popular virus trick recently.
