Task Manager - Processes

When I access my task manager by pressing [ctrl], [alt], [delete] i am able to bring up a "processes" option

On this tab there is a list of running processes. My cpu is currently running 33 process at one time

Is this normal? If not, what can i do to fix this? I feel it may be slowing my cpu down

I run 21. My sister also runs 33. She loads shit.

Not bad. Depending on what you have open at the time that is..

For example.. I am at 50 right now.. I have 11 windows open, MSN messenger,
I am VPN'd someplace, have task manager up (duh), have OE-Quotefix going,
Outlook, Nvidia settings and Symantec Antivirus.. Not to mention my UPS
software and Roxio Drag to disk. That number of running process is EASY to
get up there, even if you tweak your machine.
