task manager not working right

i use task manager quite a bit, and especially last few days getting rid of
a virus
after virus gone a day later,
suddenly when task manager comes up, it now has no tabs at top and no
title bar with the min/max etc. it just has the applications screen only?
hopefully there is some way to repair or reinstall???

Your Task Manager is running in "Tiny Footprint" mode. Double click the
top border.

sorry about the multi-post, after the first i thought setup would be more
appropriate
for future reference what is considered an appropriate time to wait if there
is no response at all,
to then try a different group??

You are most welcome. There is no particular waiting time. Aim for the
best odds and Cross-post when you are unsure which group is best or when
you think your problem might be related to issues that may be related to
more than one group. The .general group is an all encompassing group
and is well "staffed" and pretty active. Usually after 24 hours with no
answers it means that you have a tough problem or that your post was too
vague to be answered, a repost may be in order. Or your post might be
better answered in a different group, usually when that is the case
someone will suggest a different group.

Keep on posting and asking! That is the most important thing. Don't
worry about them "elves", they're hard to catch in action and they do as
little as possible anyway.
