task manager interface problem

Hi.

I just noticed that if I open the task manager in Vista Home Premium that
the whole interface is gone.
There is no menu bar on top and I can't open processes it's all gone and a
restart didn't fixed it.
Please someone give me a hint how I can fix the task manager.

Thanks in advance,
Tommy

This is a very common problem, it is actually "by design". Task Manager is
*supposed* to be able to optionally display in this manner. See:

http://blogs.msdn.com/oldnewthing/archive/2004/03/30/103379.aspx

Double-click anywhere on the border of the Task Manager window - the normal
controls will re-appear.

Doubleclick near the borders and Task manager will go back to "tiny
footprint" mode. And so on, back and forth.

You would have inadvertently clicked on the borders in the first place,
sending Task Manager into tiny footprint mode.

Hope it helps,

You're running in what's called "Small Footprint Mode." To change back
and forth from this mode to regular mode, just double-click on the
border.
