Task Manager Error?

When i try to turn on taskmanager it instead pops up something that looks
like a session manager with no tabs and the only options are disconnect or
logoff.. how do i get my Task Manager back .. any help would be great

Double-click near the perimeter to exit small footprint mode.

Try doubleclicking on the border.

Try double-clicking on the right or left edge of the Task Mangaer
window.

I Actually found a registry fix for it in another post after this one was
done thanks guys though for the quick response

Try this,
Download to your Desktop this self-extracting ZIP archive
FixPolicies.exe
* Double-click FixPolicies.exe
* Click the Install button on the bottom toolbar of the box that
will open.
* The program will create a new Folder called FixPolicies
* Double-click to Open the new Folder, and then double-click the
file named Fix_Policies.cmd
* A black box will briefly appear and then close. This will enable
your Control Panel, Task Manager and stop any Administrative warnings.
