Outlook 2003

The Task icon button shows a clipboard with a red check. Once in Tasks the
first column is "icon" where the label shows an icon of a blank page. The
icon itself at the beginning of each task is the Task icon - clipboard with
red check. What is the purpose of this "icon" column if all the icons are
the same. I have not found any way to change that initial icon from the
clipboard/red check to anything else. Thanks!

As answered yesterday -
That is just the normal task icon - it means it’s a task, not an assigned
task.
See http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/icons_tasks.htm for the various icons
used in the task folder.
