Task Duplication

I have Outlook 2003. Whenever I put a task in and as soon as I sync, it
duplicates it several hundred times. I just counted one task and it was
entered once but on my calendar it shows up 256 times! URGHHH. It is also
showing on my Treo just as many times. Therefore, I have entered 7 tasks and
oh my gosh, the list is endless. There has to be a setting that I am
overlooking. Under the task menu it only shows up once, but the duplication
is showing up on my calendar the next day. and then every day that these
tasks are not completed, it puts the entire list on the next day's calendar
at the same time remaining on the original day. By the end of the week,
every single day on my calendar has hundreds of duplications per task. Help.

Can you explain what you mean by the Tasks are showing up on my Calendar?
Where on the Calendar and in what View of the Calendar?

Whatever task I typed in show up on the next day's calendar. It has no time
by it, just at the beginning of the day and it is on every view -- daily,
weekly or monthly. It only put it on my calendar for 2 days after I typed
the tasks in.

Thanks but you did not answer my questions. So Ii'll be a bit more
directive and see if we can get to the bottom of this. Remember I cannot
see your screen!

1. are you making Tasks?
2. are you making Meetings?
3. are you making All Day Events?
4. what View of the Calendar are you in?
5. do you have a new Dell computer?
