Task Bar showing unopened email - New?

Today all of a sudden, Outlook is showing an unopened email envelope in the
task bar when in fact there are no unopened emails and Outlook is closed.
Just started on two of our computers. Any ideas?

in the task bar when in fact there are no unopened emails and Outlook
is closed. Just started on two of our computers. Any ideas?

If you hover the pointer over it, does it change or vanish? If not, then
Outlook is still running even though you think it's not. See this:
