Task Bar Question

Whenever I open a program, my task bar is not visible.
When I minimize or close a program, the task bar is
visible again. How can I make the task bar visible at
all times, regardless if I have a program open or not?

Right Click the Start button and choose Properties
Select the Taskbar tab and remove the check in Auto Hide the taskbar and
place a check in Keep the taskbar on top... Click Apply and OK
That should do it.

thant didn't work....I know how to auto hide the task
bar....I have it unchecked and it still goes away when a
program or browser is open....need more help...
