Task bar problems

My task bar no longer displays the currently open
programs and windows. I see the quick launch and
language bar, but no windows. Any ideas?

My task bar no longer displays the currently open

Rightclick on the takbar and selevt properties. On the
dialog that appears, choose the 'start menu' tab and click
on advanced. A second property page pops up where you can
set the number of programs displayed on the left of the main
start menu or whether to turn it on/off.

For the other part, the toolbars are turned on/off in the
context menu at toolbars. The language bar is turned on/off
in the "regional&Language options" | Languages| Text input
services|Language bar(button), when a foreign language
support package is installed.
