Task bar problem

Hi,

On my computer, there are at least three groups tools bar showing in the
task bar. and everytime I open one application(notepad.exe). it will show
in the two tool bar( the first one is Quick launch, I think).

How can this happen? and how to fix it? Thanks...

Hi JS,

Right click on the Task Bar and select Toolbars.
Uncheck all but Quick Launch.

Thanks Bert,
I did, but there are two still there, and when I open one applications, it
show the application icon respectively.

Any idea?

Hi JS,

What you are seeing is the Task Bar and the Quick
Launch Tool Bar. The Task Bar shows the open apps.
The QL tool bar is a holder for app shortcuts.
If you don't want to see the QL tool bar, uncheck it.

I find it very handy, and place it on top of the Task Bar.

What are you expecting to see?

You can drag one of the tool bar by its tag and drop
it on desktop.Then close it.If it does not work,you
can create a new account and use the new one.If you
want to the old profile,please read the following
posted by Dave Patrick:
Create a new user account then if you really want the profile you can use
the Copy To function to mirror the profile. Logon at least once as the new
user. Then while logged on as another user (with administrative rights)
Control Panel|System|User Profiles, select oldprofile, Copy To, Browse to
%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\newprofile
Change "Permitted to use:" to "newprofile" OK.

I have the same problem. After close the QL and also the idiom bar, I see two
task bars. And when I open an application (i.e. MS-Outlook), two icons
appears there.
The same occurs if I open any other application.
What can I do?
It is not my interest to change my profile.
