Hi!
We have this strange problem:
If I assign a resource to a task in my Outlook 2007 and sends it off to an
other person on an other Exchange server out in cyberspace, he/she receives
it just lik a mail, not as a task. In my action list it appears as an
assignet task (with the little hand), but on the other persons outlook
(2003), it looks just as a mail, and with no opportunities to answer
"Completed" or anything like that.
Also the other way around, the same thing happens.

I also tried to assign an other person (myself, on an other mail-server),
and downloaded the "mail" on the same PC as I sent it from, and it did not
work here either.

And finally, I assigned a mail alias (myself again), but on the same
exchange servere as the one I sent if from, and this time it worked with the
assignment.

does it only work within the same exchange server?

What is wrong?? Please help!!

It's definitely something happening on the server side... you're more likely
to get an answer if you post on one of the Exchange groups - seehttp://www.microsoft.com/exchange/community/default.mspx

no - I disagree. It does not work. Task assignment should not
require exchange. If i assign a task from outlook 2007 to a user with
outlook 2003 it will not show up as a task, but rather as an email
(which is hard to understand). This is a real disappointment to me.
if someone has a workaround (other than upgrade everyone) i would
appreciate it.
