Taking ownership of lots of files

I am poring through lots and lots of files, finding the ones that have
confused ownership, and taking ownership of them one by one.

Is there a quick way of doing this? I want ownership of every file
on my computer.

The pictures are a bit easier than everything else, as I can display
thumnails, and each picture I can't see is one I need to edit the
properties of. For some reason the procedures to take control have
me doing the same thing over and over again until they take, and this
is very slow. I could save time with a batch or group command.

Are you using XP home or Professional?

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421/en-us

Note that you can take ownership of a folder and all files contained
therein.
