Taking Control of an Access Database

M

Mr. Loren Chilson

Hello anyone,

An IT employee of our county government created,
administered and was the owner of a certain database
comprised of a frontend and a backend. The employee left
under difficult terms and has prevented use of the
database since her departure. Can anyone direct me to a
3rd party who could help us regain control of this
database and return it to use?

Loren, anyone attempting this has the problem that they do not know
the contractual situation between you and the ex-employee. If someone
desecures your database, and it transpires that the database was
actually owned by the ex-employee (not by your department), the 3rd
party could find themslves hit with the DCMA! (for example)

So you would probably be better off to pursue the legal avenues first.

TC
