Takes a long time to add attachments to Email

R

Robert L.

I have a user that when they attach an email from a network location it taked
anywere from 45 seconds to a minute and a half.

WINXP SP3 with Office 2007 latest SP.

Laptop hooked into a docking station.

When I save the file to the desktop and add it there is no problems. The
delay only happenes when I try to add it from a network location. I have run
a repair on Office, Uninstalled and reinstalled office, Cleared out the temp
and temporary internet files. Turned off wireless, unplugged the laptop.
Pretty much anything I could think of to eliminate the issue. The user
doesn't have this issue on other stations or while using the Web Exchange
Access for 2007.

None of this seems to work. Any ideas?

Two drives that are labeled diffrently. One is T and the other is S. My
campus is all Server 2008, Active Directory, Exchange 2007 and Office 2007.
Drives are auto mapped from AD policies.

I tried re creating the mapped network drives and it still has this issue. To
clerify this is probably not an office 2007 issue, but a network issue
basically?

It's more like an Outlook and network issue - it pings all the mapped
drives.

Well I wasn't able to solve the problem, but atleast it pointed me in a good
direction. I tried attaching files from three diffrent locations at various
parts of my office and the problem still happens. Had the network admin look
into and wasn't able to find anything. I ended up just updating the system to
win7 and that solved that issue with a clean install of Office 2007.

Thanks for the Help though Diane!!!
